This seminar will help you develop and implement a disaster plan that
is right for your community, and inform you about the different types
of natural and man-made problems that could affect your
neighborhood. These include tornadoes, severe thunderstorms,
hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, fires, winter storms and hazardous
materials incidents (for communities near major roads, rail lines,
pipelines, industrial plants or materials storage facilities.
Planning ahead can help reduce the effects of disasters as well as
ease the problems following such an occurrence. You can't stop a
tornado or hold back a flood, but you can be ready for them and
their aftermath. This seminar provides some guidelines that will assist
you in the process of creating a disaster plan that is up-to-date and
realistic. Every manufactured home community should have one -
and every resident should be familiar with it.
